Making Room for the Mission

Coming together in worship is a transformative experience where we join together as one body, celebrating and signifying God’s holy church. This is a church that has been incredibly blessed by the Lord since it first began, and we want to continue to not only honor our mission but also honor God in the wise use of our resources.

Here at The Woodlands Methodist Church, we are committed to our mission of reaching people for Jesus, discipling them in faith, and helping those in need. And “reaching people for Jesus” is perhaps the most vital tenet of our mission.

Starting August 11, we will be making room for the people we have yet to reach as well as more room for the ones we are reaching right now. See the updated schedule below for how we are using the spaces and facilities the Lord has given us as we take the mission of this church one step further and honor Him in doing so.

Every weekend our halls and worship spaces, across all our campuses, are full, and our church is seeing new and abundant growth.

The 8:30 a.m. service in the Chapel and the 9:30 a.m. service in the Harvest Worship Center have outgrown their spaces. We want to continue to not only honor our mission but also honor God in the wise use of our resources. Therefore, we are making room for the people we have yet to reach as well as more room for the ones we are reaching right now by utilizing the spaces we have available in new ways.

The Church at Woodforest is moving to 9:00 a.m. to ease the transition between services and facilitate accessibility to parking.

Worship experiences will not change. Traditional worship services in the Chapel and the Sanctuary will continue to include hymns and special music with traditional preaching. Contemporary worship services, whether in the Sanctuary or Harvest Worship Center, will include a time of worship with the Harvest worship team and a contemporary preaching style.

All parking lots and entrances will be open on Sunday mornings.

For Traditional worship in the Chapel at 7:45 and 9:00 a.m. and the Sanctuary at 11:00 a.m., parking lots A, B, C, D, E, F and G are closest to the Sanctuary. Parking lot A is reserved for senior adults and persons requiring special accessibility.

For Contemporary worship at 9:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary, parking lots A, B, C, D, E, F and G are closest to the Sanctuary. Parking lot A is reserved for senior adults and persons requiring special accessibility. For the 11:00 a.m. service in the Harvest Worship Center, parking lots K, L, M and N are closest to the Harvest Worship Center.

Livestreams will be at 9:00 a.m. for Contemporary worship, and 7:45 and 11:00 a.m. for Traditional worship. Modern worship in the Loft Worship Center will continue to be livestreamed at 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays and 11:00 a.m. on Sundays. The Church at Woodforest livestream will be 9:00 a.m.
