Grow In Your Faith

Formation and discipleship in the church are all about the process of living out and learning about the teachings of Christ. This process is about more than just head knowledge; it’s about reorienting our entire lives around His teachings and way of life. In this process, we learn to live in the reality of the kingdom of God here and now. Through spiritual disciplines like prayer, Scripture reading and community, we are formed into the image of Christ. It’s a journey of transformation, where we don’t just learn about Jesus but learn to live like Jesus, cultivating a life marked by love, joy, peace and deep, authentic relationship with God and others.

Formation

Formation is not merely about acquiring knowledge — it’s about transforming one’s life to reflect the love, grace and truth of Jesus. Faith should not only be understood but also actively practiced, fostering a vibrant and faithful community. This is the heart of what it means to follow Jesus and be His disciples in the world today.

Spiritual Mentoring

Groups are the center for connection and formation at The Woodlands Methodist Church. Through home groups, we strive to encounter the tangible presence of God, be transformed into Christ’s image, and live in the way of Jesus.

Spiritual Mentoring

John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, created pathways and rhythms for walking in joy, freedom and holiness in Christ. One such pathway was “banding,” when a group of three to five same-gendered people would meet, read and pray together. Learn more about banding together at TWMC as we seek to encourage spiritual accountability and growth.
