While living in Arizona, Melissa Williams' parents got married 13 days before she was born. After their divorce, Melissa moved to Texas with her mom and two siblings. In high school, she broke the record for the longest false start to date (or ever) in addition to failing her floral design class in the same year. She has never been married, but she delivered an 11-pound, 4-ounce baby. (If you’re wondering, they both survived.) Her daughter is now an amazing 27-year-old woman. Melissa is still in awe that she managed to keep another human alive this long. She loves time with her family, who live in the same town as her. (It is important to note that her Thanksgiving turkey has been voted “the best” in her family three years in a row.) Growing up with a stutter, Melissa spent years in speech therapy and never dreamed she would be speaking in front of hundreds of people. By the grace of God, she has used theater and the creative arts to overcome her speech impediment and is now invited to stages throughout the U.S. to make people laugh. Her speech therapist would be so proud — and maybe a little shocked! She will make you laugh. She will make your friends laugh, and she may even make that one person in your life that hasn't smiled in 17 months or even years laugh! She has been a keynote speaker at a wide variety of events. Whether it be a women's retreat, church or corporate function, party or wedding, she has brought clean comedy to captive audiences through sharing relatable stories of everyday life. She brings laughter that serves as medicine. She laughs out loud and thinks everyone else should too. (Like that one time she was asked to leave 59 Diner because her laugh was too loud. Yes. That happened!)

Karen’s single-parent journey began in 2017, and while she would describe her life testimony as one of God’s relentless faithfulness, it was through her singleness that she saw more clearly God’s heart for her and the brokenness of her situation as well as His faithfulness in new and amazing depths. She is the mom of five children and the “Sasha” to five grandchildren. Her oldest children, Jessica and Michael, journeyed through foster care before coming into Karen’s family by adoption. Her youngest children, Kate, Emma and William, are completing their collegiate journeys at various universities in Texas.

Because of her love for people who are in hard places, in 2009 Karen began a nonprofit that provides personal care items to single moms and their children. Additionally, in 2017 she founded an organization that provides rocket stoves and water filters for women in Guatemala so that women in rural villages can be spared from respiratory diseases and waterborne illnesses that are prevalent in that environment.

Karen resides in The Woodlands, Texas, where she serves as the Pastor of Worship and Evangelism at The Woodlands Methodist Church.

Tim’s journey into financial services began as a client himself, where he witnessed firsthand the transformative power of having a clear financial strategy. This experience inspired his career, starting in 1998 as a financial planner with Ameriprise Financial Services, where he also taught investment courses to future CFP® professionals preparing for their exams. For 13 years, Tim worked with Charles Schwab, where he managed relationships with over 350 client households, providing tailored financial guidance through planning meetings, educational seminars and support during challenging economic times. During his decade-long tenure at the Houston Food Bank, Tim served as a marketing specialist, where he strengthened donor relations within the food industry and supported the organization’s mission to combat hunger. His efforts helped forge critical partnerships that ensured food security for countless families. Tim’s passion for service began earlier in his career as a volunteer coordinator at the Jersey Food Bank, where he managed impactful volunteer projects, including coordinating efforts with notable individuals like Bruce Springsteen. These experiences highlight Tim’s dedication to making a difference both in his community and beyond.
