Group Details

Are you single? Want to deepen your relationship with Christ? Meet new friends? If so, join us for short-term studies that typically last 6-8 weeks. We usually read a book together and watch the study DVD and have a fruitful discussion time on Thursday evenings.

Our current study is Here For It (the GOOD, the BAD, and the QUESO) by Amy Weatherly and Jess Johnston starting June 6, 2024.

The HOW-TO GUIDE for DEEPENING YOUR FRIENDSHIPS and DOING LIFE TOGETHER.

How do I get from friendship to true sisterhood?  Deep friendship - the kind you crave that stays strong across disagreements and dumpster fires, miles and misunderstandings - can seem as elusive as the perfect queso recipe.  You want to know, be known, and spend time with people who make you laugh so hard you slightly hyperventilate.

In this new book Amy Weatherly and Jess Johnston - bestselling authors and founders of the wildly popular Sister, I Am with You online community - will guide you through some of the more difficult aspects of friendship and give you practical advice for deepening the friendships you already have.

- distinguish between different types of friendships,
- foster real relationships with your neighbors,
- recognize when a seasonal friendship has run its course, and
- establish traditions that strengthen your relationships no matter how far apart you live.

Here for It gets to the heart of the hows and whys of friendship in a culture that constantly tries to keep us from authentic connection.  Whether you could use tips on setting boundaries or encouragement for working through conflicts, need for showing up, speaking up, and offering grace to yourself and those you love.

Coming Fall 2024:  Untangle Your Emotions by Jennie Allen starts Thursday, September 26, at 7:00p.m. in Dunnam Conference Room.

How often have you heard, “Don’t let your emotions get the best of you”? But what if instead of ignoring our feelings, we notice them, name them, and let God use them to draw us closer to Himself and others?

Many of us need to unlearn damaging messages about our emotions. We’ve been taught, for example, that emotions are untrustworthy, when, in fact, God can use them to help us see where we need His healing.

In Untangle Your Emotions, Jennie Allen uses scientific research, biblical insight, and her own story to help you:

  • Exchange stuffing, dismissing, or minimizing your emotions for a five-step process to know what you feel and what to do about it.
  • Debunk the myth that feelings are sinful by learning how emotional maturity leads to deeper connection with God and others.
  • Live emotionally healthy by applying biblical wisdom and therapeutic research that works whether you self-identify as ‘emotional’ or not.
  • Sit with feelings that are confusing and painful by discovering the depth of God’s love and compassion for you.

Feelings aren’t something to fix; they are something to feel. As we discover how to name and navigate our emotions, we’ll learn how they can draw us closer to the God who built us – soul, mind, and heart.
