Arthur Jones is the second Senior Pastor in the 37-year history of St. Andrew Methodist in Plano, Texas, where he has served on staff as a pastor for 13 years. A delegate to the 2004 and 2008 General Conferences of the UMC and 12 years serving the denomination on the boards of GBHEM and GBOD, Arthur eventually found his primary passion and calling to be the local church. Having served as an intern at The Woodlands UMC, Church of the Resurrection in Kansas City, and St. Mark UMC in Wichita, Kansas, Arthur’s initial role at St. Andrew was to launch a contemporary worship service in 2012 before becoming the primary preacher in 2018. St. Andrew is a growing congregation looking to become passionate servants of Jesus Christ. After disaffiliation from the UMC, St. Andrew Methodist is looking to partner with other churches to craft a new association of Methodist churches.
